Chiemela Nwaobasi

Chiemela Nwaobasi is a native of Nigeria. His parents moved him and his siblings to the United States when he was twelve. He grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he attended middle and high school. After graduating high school, Chiemela left Philadelphia for Millersville University, where he pursued and completed a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After college, Chiemela furthered his education by pursuing and completing a medical degree at St. Martinus Faculty of Medicine – an offshore medical school on the Island of Curacao in the Caribbean. He also holds an MBA from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, and a master’s degree in Histology from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

 

Chiemela is an aspiring clinical laboratory entrepreneur with vast experience in research and histopathology. Chiemela is passionate about the laboratory industry and has managed and helped build several pathology laboratories nationwide. He is the founder and president of Labademic Incorporated.

 

Aside from work, Chiemela enjoys cooking, bike trails, exercising, jazz, concerts, and spending quality time with his wife and two energetic boys.

Nefertiti Nwaobasi

Ogochukwu Nefertiti Nwaobasi is of Nigerian descent, born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Winchester Thurston High School in the city of Pittsburgh. After graduating high school, Nefertiti left Pittsburgh for Kent State University, where she pursued and completed a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After college, Nefertiti furthered her education by pursuing and completing a master’s degree in Histology at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She also holds a medical degree from St. George Medical School on the Island of Grenada.

 

Nefertiti is a resident doctor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She is an aspiring integrative medical doctor and entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and vice-president of Labademic Incorporated. Nefertiti is passionate about global health and medical missions. She is married to Chiemela Nwaobasi, and they have two beautiful boys.
